The Apostles
Introduction
Under the filigreed archivolt ends, there are six statues of the apostles.
Those that rest on as many filigreed columns, of a triangular prismatic shape of such fine workmanship that the chisel of the craftsman seems to have slid on soft wax more than on hard stone.

Original statues of the Apostles’ Door. The originals are in the Museum of the Cathedral.

On the door jambs is the Aragon coat of arms, repeated four times with other shields.

At the height of the Apostles’ statues and extending outwards, are the other six apostles, three on each side.
And the statues of St. Sixtus II, St. Lawrence, St. Valero and St. Vincent.
All are provided with the same filigree covering and ornaments, seated on columns.
