Saint Dominic de Guzman was born in Caleruega (Burgos) in 1170. He founded the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), which is primarily dedicated to the promotion and defence of the Catholic Faith. He died in Bolonia (Italy) in 1221. His feast day is celebrated on 8th August.

Saint Barbara, virgin and martyr from Nicomedia (+235) According to the legend, she had a tower with three windows built for herself, as a symbol of the Trinity. His own father handed her over to the tribunal and executed her, being struck by lightning some time afterwards. She is the patron saint of the artillery and against the storms.Her feast day is celebrated on 4th December.
