A masterpiece of the 16th century (1506-1510), which contained a Renaissance reredos of silver, which was melted to mint coins in Majorca in 1812 during the war against Napoleon Bonaparte.

Description

Painting in tempera and oil on panel by Fernando de los Llanos and Fernando Yañez de la Almedina. They imitate the style of Leonardo da Vinci and other authors of the Italian Renaissance.

Outer wings

In the outer left wing, from top to bottom we can find the Adoration of the Shepherds, the Adoration of the Magi and the Resurrection of the Lord.

In the outer right wing we can find the Ascension of the Lord to Heaven, the descent of the Holy Spirit and the death and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Interior of the altarpiece

In the inner left wing we can find the meeting of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, parents of the Virgin Mary, the birth of the Virgin Mary Mother of God and the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Temple.

In the inner right wing we can find the Visitation of Mary to Saint Elisabeth, the Presentation of the Child Jesus in the temple, and the Flight into Egypt.
