Vicente Inglés was a Spanish painter, son of José, was born in Valencia and died on 30 August, 1821. His masterpieces are kept in the Communion Chapel of Saint Martin’s Church (Valencia) and in the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts. He lived and died poor, although he was an academician. A curious detail in the life of this artist is that, having painted a San Cristóbal of giant proportions on a wall of La Robella Beach, by order of the San Carlos academy, he was ordered to erase it in a report of his companions the academics.
