The Cathedral Archive
The sacristy communicates with the current Chapter House and, in addition, by means of a staircase it facilitates access to the archive, established on two upper floors, located above the sacristy and the Chapter House.
In this archive, documentation regarding the Cathedral is preserved, such as the papal bulls, the Cathedral’s constitutions, letters, royal and notarial documents, etc.
Facilities
It has a room for researchers, a room for technicians and a warehouse.
Recently, it has been provided with optimal prevention and conservation measures, and appropriate computer facilities, as well as a reprography service for researchers.
Access is free and thanks to the help of the Valencian Government’s Department of Culture and Sports, specifically the General Office of Books, Archives and Libraries, a great job of digitizing funds is being carried out.
