The Naves of the Cathedral
History
The three naves of the main body of the cathedral were built in the 13th century in the Gothic style, imitating those of Lleida and Tarragona.
The last section
The last section was built in the 15th century and has windows, which produce a special effect: they seem to open themselves as you advance by the nave towards the altar.
The main nave is 16 metres high and the lateral ones 10 metres.
Neoclassicism and Gothic
In the 18th century. the entire cathedral was covered with neoclassical decoration. From 1970 the Gothic architecture was recovered. The windows used to have coloured stained glasses, but nowadays they are closed with alabaster plates.
