Works made
in the restoration

History of the Cathedral frescoes

The Chapter requested the restoration of the paintings and it was necessary to dismantle the central gilt wood keystone and the panels of the Baroque vault, in order to access the frescoes.

This dismantling, in accordance with the legal precepts, was made reversibly, keeping the numbered fragments under the responsibility of the Chapter. The architect Salvador Vila Ferrer was in charge of the interior and exterior architectural work.

LEDs are solid-state semiconductor devices which make them robust, reliable, long-lasting and vibration-proof, which can convert electrical energy directly into light. The inside of an LED is a small semiconductor encapsulated in an epoxy resin enclosure. On the other hand, LED devices are environmentally friendly as they do not contain mercury, have a longer life, save considerable energy and produce almost no light pollution.
