About the Holy Chalice of the Lord’s Supper<\/p>\n

Although medieval Grail literature<\/a> found in the search for the sacred vessel a symbol of purification and renunciation to reach personal perfection and salvation, for many years, we have witnessed the appearance of novels, feignedly historical, and an entire esoteric literature that makes the Grail a dark object or a tradition hidden through the centuries which would preserve the true essence of Christianity or the true story of Jesus of Nazareth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It seems that what liberal criticism and anti-religious materialism did not achieve, this pseudo divulgation is now intended to achieve to destroy the clean faith of the Church in Jesus Christ the Lord. In this way, suspicion and falseness seek to tarnish what was and should continue to be an icon of Christian culture.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the Chalice, with its archaeological authenticity and its tradition devoid of marvelous elements, refers us to the time of Jesus and reminds us of the institution of the Eucharist as historical moments that transcend time and reach us as a mystery of salvation.<\/p>\n

This is how we live it when the sacred relic is taken from its beautiful chapel<\/a>, the old chapter house (14th century),<\/em> to the high altar in the celebration of Holy Mass at the Lord’s Supper,<\/strong> on Holy Thursday<\/strong> and on the solemn feast of the last Thursday of October.<\/p>\n

This is the message that the Cathedral of Valencia wishes to proclaim, with the support of worthy associations such as the Royal Brotherhood of the Holy Chalice<\/a> and the Confraternity of the Holy Chalice <\/a>that together with the Metropolitan Chapter<\/a>, maintain the worship and dissemination of the devotion of the Holy Chalice, which is expressed in the pilgrimages of parishes and religious and civic entities, every week in the \u201cHoly Chalice Thursday\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n
