The choir made its debut at the same cathedral in 2002, on the feast of Saint Vincent Martyr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most of its repertoire is of a sacred nature, belonging to the cathedral music fond. It has the collaboration of the Valencia City Council, as well as the Valencian Institute of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana.<\/p>\n

In its effort to recover Valencian music, the recordings of works by Gin\u00e9s P\u00e9rez de la Parra<\/strong>, Juan Bautista Comes<\/strong>, Juan Cabanilles<\/strong>, Jos\u00e9 Pradas<\/strong> and Francisco Morera<\/strong> stand out.<\/p>\n

Likewise, in the field of early music, the choir\u2019s collaborations with Capella de Ministrers<\/strong> and the Choir school Our Lady of the Forsaken of Valencia<\/strong> stand out in the interpretation of the Canto de la Sibil\u00b7la Valenciana; with the Valencia Orchestra it has performed on several occasions \u201cMessiah\u201d<\/em> by Haendel<\/strong>, under the direction of Fabio Biondi<\/strong> and Nicholas Kok<\/strong>; the \u201cPassion according to Saint John\u201d<\/em> by J. S. Bach<\/strong>; and the \u201cChristmas Oratorio\u201d<\/em> by J. S. Bach<\/strong> under the orders of the master Ton Koopman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a symphonic-choral formation, the cathedral choir regularly collaborates with the Valencia Orchestra,<\/strong> under the baton of conductors such as Yaron Traub,<\/strong> Rafael Fr\u00fachbeck de Burgos,<\/strong> Miguel A. G\u00f3mez-Mart\u00ednez,<\/strong> Michel Plasoon,<\/strong> Christian Badea,<\/strong> Juan Luis Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> or Crist\u00f3bal Soler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also noteworthy are its performances with the Europa Galante<\/strong> band, under the baton of Fabio Biondi<\/strong>, with whom it has collaborated on the operatic productions of \u201cNorma\u201d<\/em> by Bellini<\/strong> and \u201cAnna Bolena\u201d<\/em> by Donizetti<\/strong>. In 2015, the choir performed the \u201cTe Deum\u201d<\/em> by Anton Bruckner<\/strong> with the Valencia Orchestra at the \u201cInternational Inauguration Festival of the Valencia Cathedral Organ\u201d<\/em>, under the direction of Yaron Traub<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since that date, Luis Garrido,<\/strong> his collaborator in the implementation of the project, has succeeded him as titular director. Since 2006, the cathedral choir has had Pablo M\u00e1rquez<\/strong> as organist and repertorist, both for liturgical offices and for orchestral projects.<\/p>\n
